Via del Campo was established at the start of this century, although the farm of Arduino was already owned by the Pierdomenico family back in 1800, when the current owner’s great grandparents bought it from the sisters whose convent used to be what is now the manor house.
The five apartments, obtained from the refurbishment of rustic outbuildings, include their own bathrooms and fully-equipped kitchens. The farm is run by Arduino and his wife, Paola, and produces an excellent extra-virgin olive oil obtained from the native Dritta olive, an exquisite tomato puree made using the local pear of Abruzzo and “cuore di bue” tomatoes and colourful vegetables like zucchinis, eggplants, peppers and cabbage. Guests can taste these products in the cuisine offered or they can buy them directly on the farm. Outdoors, guests can relax in the various gardens around the facility. An excellent haven from the daily routine to revive the relationship with nature and appreciate sounds that have become distant from the collective imagination, walking through olive groves and fields or relaxing on a hammock in the heady scent of the botanical garden, enjoying the view of the Abruzzo hills. Guests can take part in olive picking, grain threshing, growing vegetables and botanical plants. They can try their hand at making bread, cakes, tomato puree, preserves, enjoying the typical local hospitality and generosity of the Abruzzo people, which make this region unique.
