Porta Maiella is a structure located in Piazza Grande, in the city center. The B&B can accommodate up to 18 people today in 5 bedrooms with private bathroom. The kitchen and dining room is accessible externally and equipped to accommodate all 18 guests. We also have a shaded terrace and a couple of outside areas where you can spend your free time and lounging.
In homage to the old function of the building, once used as a prison, we have given the names of prisoners of the past with 5 rooms for guests. It is important people of Abruzzo, known and unknown, which in the past were imprisoned somewhere in Italy, as prisoners of war, as mere bandits to serve a sentence, or simply for their ideas at that time other than the powers that be. Five "Abruzzo" born in this region between mountains and sea, or lived for most of their lives in his quarters, more or less famous characters who have crossed the centuries and history with their stories, familiar and unfamiliar, and finally to to us. We do not judge them, do not we love it denigrate them, we just simply tell the little information whit a short biography of each of them. These are stories of prison but also of freedom, ideas and promises of past lives that have shaped our land as well as our country, Italy, and we want to remind you to know the common past, and its protagonists, known and less known, because those who do not know their past, will never guess their future.

Cancellations must be written and are valid from the date of receipt in our office sent by fax or e-mail to the management of the hotel. If the cancellation is made over 15 days from the date of arrival, the cancellation will be free of charge. If the cancellation is made after that day we will debit 25% of the amount booked
