Maiella
Known as the “mother mountain” to the people of abruzzo, the maiella is rugged and wild, with luxuriant vegetation, criss-crossed by spectacular paths and dotted with spiritual hermitages carved in the rock.
Gran Sasso d'Italia
With its nature reserves and high plateaux, the gran sasso is one of the best-known parts of abruzzo.
